Give a helping hand for poor people

Why Bangladesh? Isn’t Bangladesh a democracy that protects the rights of religious minorities and where there is communal harmony?

That is the image that Bangladesh likes to project to the world, and its constitution says that the rights of minorities are protected, but the reality is very different. All religious and ethnic minorities, particularly Hindus, for instance, have faced near constant attacks for decades; falling from almost a fifth of the population at Bangladesh’s birth to only one in 15 today. They face anti-Hindu attacks including murder, rape and gang rape, child abduction, forced conversion, religious desecration, land grabbing, and more. This is carried out largely by non-state actors, but the government–regardless of the party in power–almost never prosecutes these crimes; thereby telling the criminals that they can attack Hindus and other religious and ethnic minorities with impunity.
