Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council, USA is a national organization and united platform of the Hindu, Buddhist, Christian religious people and all other indigenous, ethnic and social minorities living in the USA with the strategic goal.
Before being admitted to the New York Bar in 2004 as an attorney Mr. Karmaker held important positions in the Judiciary and in the Executive branch of the Government of Bangladesh. Mr. Karmaker worked as a Judge for about 5 years in the judiciary of Bangladesh and later served in the Ministry of Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs of Bangladesh for about 3 years. During his time in the Ministry Mr. Karmaker worked as the Counsel Officer of the Honorable Minister for Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs assisting the Minister in playing his role in the Parliament effectively. Mr. Karmaker, later was awarded the Chevening Scholarship and went to the Institute of Commonwealth Studies under the University of London to study Human Rights and earned his Masters in Human Rights in 2000. Coming to the USA Mr. Karmaker received his LL.M from the Law School of Columbia University in the year of 2003. On February 11, 2004 Mr. Karmaker joined the New York Bar as a practicing attorney. Mr. Karmaker’s practice is largely focused on asylum seekers and all other immigration issues. Human Rights plays a very important role in his practice. Since 2014 Mr. Karmaker has been directly involved with the Human Rights Advocacy organization Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council, USA and in 2015 he has been elected as its Chairman of the Board of Governors. Under his dynamic leadership this organization has been formally and effectively registered as a not-for-profit organization fulfilling its legal obligations under the law of the State of New York.
